About Mike
I’m Mike Haytack, an architectural and interiors photographer based in Pensacola, Florida.
I’ve always been drawn to people who build things well. Architects, designers, craftsmen, and builders share a common trait: an obsession with details that most people never notice. That’s what attracts me to this work.
After a twenty-year career in the United States Air Force, photography became a way for me to slow down and pay attention. Over time, that curiosity led me toward architecture and interiors, where light, material, and human intention come together to create something lasting.
Today, I partner with architects, builders, and designers to create imagery that captures more than the appearance of a space. My goal is to communicate the atmosphere, craftsmanship, and feeling behind the work—the qualities that often make a project memorable.
I approach each assignment with a cinematic eye, respect for the design process, and an appreciation for the people who brou
I believe good imagery should feel effortless — calm, balanced, and precise. That’s what I chase every time I pick up a camera.

Philosophy & Approach
I’m not interested in over-staged or over-edited imagery. I want authenticity. Natural light, controlled composition, and editing that preserves the truth of the space.
Every project starts the same way: I study how light moves through the space and how the design expresses itself through form, scale, and texture. From there, I build a rhythm — deciding what the space wants to say and how best to show it.
Architecture already has structure and emotion built into it. My work is about listening to that and translating it visually — whether that’s through still photography, short film, or aerial perspective.
Tone of Work
My work is:
- Cinematic
Driven by atmosphere and emotion. - Architectural
Balanced, refined, and built on composition. - Timeless
Neutral tones, soft light, and visual calm. - Honest
Real materials, real light, no unnecessary polish.
I want every image to feel like it belongs to the architect or designer — like their voice is present in the frame.
What Sets Me Apart
- Consistency
Every image, from stills to video to aerial, shares the same cohesive tone and finish. - Collaboration
I work directly with creative professionals. I speak the same design language and respect their process. - Story Over Quantity
I’d rather tell a project’s story in ten strong images than fifty that say nothing. - Refined Simplicity
Clean, thoughtful imagery that lasts beyond trends. - Reliability
Communication and clarity matter. I show up prepared, deliver on time, and protect the integrity of every project.
